Silliness.....sometimes are the best shots!

I love these silly and random photos that make be smile.  Mike and Kristen are posing for me so I can have a few memories of them before they moved to Iowa a few years ago.  Silly and crazy, you choose, might be Mike's middle name.  He is a Jr. High Youth Pastor so it works perfectly for those "pre-people" he works with.

Now Rachel is my freshman girl model. She was a little quiet at first but then she really got into it.  She is a beauty and a natural.  

This shot was after a very beautiful shot I set up that was more serious in nature. I think she needed to let loose and be the

 "goofy" Rachel.  You can't tell but she had goosebumps from the cold air which suddenly appeared as the sun was going down.

 A beginner but a pro.

This was taken in B & W film. Yes, I said film. This is Michelle's Sr. portrait shoot and it was the last shot of the morning.

It's my favorite and her dad's too.  True joyful laughter.

Molly is my friend who is a ham and isn't afraid of the camera.  Adorable isn't she? She can sing
like Ethel Merman if you ask her to. :)

Garden Tea Party.. wear your hats please!

This was just a short shoot with some friends from church.

  I wanted to capture the moment.

There is a story about the lady on the right...her name is Jane.  You can't really see the hat she is wearing but it was the hat she wore at her wedding.  Probably around the 1920's?  Jane's father had pasted away the day before her wedding day and her mother requested she wear a black dress instead of her wedding dress.  Jane certainly didn't want to do that so they settled on a light blue dress and the hat went with it...kind of.  I love stories like that.

Hayley's Senior Portraits

Saturday was a great day for a photo shoot....a little overcast and not too warm.  Hayley wasn't sure about being in front of the camera at first but as you can see she is a natural.  Hayley is the youngest of three girls in her family.  So officially she is the "baby" of the family. She had an entourage come with her...mainly to help and give moral support.  She became more and more comfortable with her winning smile and amazing eyes....the camera loved her.  Some images she reminds me a little bit of  Jessica Alba. A true beauty! Thank you Hayley for letting me shoot your portraits.  Enjoy San Diego!

Rochelle photo shoot May 2011

This was a perfect day for a photo shoot with Rochelle.  She is always game to be my model for trying new ideas that I have. She is a natural in front of the camera and the perfect size for the my finds at Forever 21. I'm enjoying using some props these days....adding some creativity and fun to my images.
